I've been playing Final Fantasy X a lot lately. I picked it back up out of nowhere and realized I was very close to the end, so I worked at getting ultimate weapons, spells, and all that jazz. I got to the final boss and decided I would draw this. Anyone who knows me well will know that I propose plenty of pictures but hardly ever come through. Well, I went to ~gracifer's house and started a new game with her (she'd never played it before) and when I left, I was motivated to go finish the game. I beat it Sunday night (I definitely cried...the whole shebang, tears running down my face and everything--not just getting choked up, though I experienced that, as well). I guess you could say I did this picture in commemoration. I really, really wanted to draw it once I had beaten the game.
And here it is. All several hours' work of it, in its 11x14, bigger-than-scanner, requiring-Photoshop-to-piece-together-4-seperate-scans glory. This picture took a new inking pen and made it one of those ones that works fine but scratchily doubles the line every once a while. But I really couldn't be happier, because I think it looks great. ^^
Auron, Braska, and Jecht (left to right) fighting an Adamantoise in a place that looks suspiciously like Omega Ruins. I guess it could be, though I don't think they every went there. Whatever. I will NEVER draw an Adamantoise ever again. I digress.
Done with Micron inking pens (just .005 this time) and piecing together in Photoshop.
Characters, monster, area, and concept all belong to Squaresoft
This is so amazing..there's very little I can say to do it justice. The poses of teh guys are all mucho dynamic and otherwise totally sweet! Haha, they're all hott. Especially Braska. Waaaay hott. The adamant...toise...thing (too lazy to scroll up) r0xx0rs my FACE! Even Biran and Yenke agree, it is teh 1337! And the inking! Ohmigawsh, the inking! That--just--broken---sentence--
Oh wow. This is...incredible. I am so completely impressed with this, I can't even tell you. It's...amazing. If I had money, I would be throwing it at you for a commission upon seeing this. Well, I do have money, I'm just stingy. BUT THAT'S BESIDE THE POINT. I really love this. Words escape me. *dramatic exit*
