Ascadian Isles by hyperionwitch Ascadian Isles by hyperionwitch
Download for more details! I think it is worth it, if I do say so myself. And I clearly do.

Another Morrowind painting! SURPRISE. You should get used to this, since I have a SERIES planned. And, conveniently, this is the first in that series!

Llaalruse and Anaia go hunting for flowers and mushrooms for alchemy (while their friend, Evanil, stands a ways off because she doesn't really care about alchemy). Everybody knows the road to Pelagiad is a great place to get these flowers. Everybody.

I really love the Ascadian Isles, they're potentially my favorite region in the game. I wanted to do a painting of the area, since I had done a slightly less exciting version in my Painting class, and I figured including my characters would make it a bit more lively. Hopefully I succeeded in getting the feeling of the area across.

The series, for the record, is essentially depicting various regions and towns in Morrowind. Lalruse will be a common theme--think of it as her travels, I guess--and other characters of mine might show up. Maybe you don't care about my characters! Just enjoy the scenery, then. :D

Morrowind belongs to Bethesda
Lal, Anaia, and Evie belong to me

Love the work. I'm a volunteer working on a fan based port of the Morrowind game into the newer Skyrim game engine. We are creating fan-based art loading screens for the game and would like your permission to include this piece of art work and any others that are Morrowind related. Its a free game made by Elder Scrolls enthusiasts. For details you can check out our website morroblivion.com

Ohh sure, as long as I'm credited for the pieces, I don't mind (same goes for the other comment you left). I am a big fan of Morroblivion (and whatever else they're up to)--I used to playtest for the Morrowind main quest project when it was being put into into Oblivion. :)

Awesome! Do you want me to use your deviant art name, real name, and a website to link to? I'll use deviantart if you don't have an official one :)

Feel free to help test the Skywind port, but its early days, its really just the world space up and running, no quests, etc.

Uhh, if you could do my DA name and my real name, that'd be nice (it's Gillian Renk), but if you have to do one or the other, go with my real name. :) As for website, go ahead and use my DA. I suppose that makes my DA name and real name being used kind of redundant but...well, anyway. The only other thing I have is an art Tumblr and that has less stuff on it. Thank you!

Word! If I ever have time to play things again, I will. :) I'm excited to see the results!

Of course I will do both :) I'm sure you will get a spare couple of hours to play it in the future sometime. And by couple of hours I mean you will be drawn in again and play for weeks - he he.

This is gorgeous, I love the mushroom trees, I remember loving how alien and different Morrowind was, I've been hearing rumors that future Skyrim DLC will feature places from Vvardenfell, personally I'd love that. My personal favorite regions are the Ascadian isles and the Grazelands, I liked the open plains feel of the latter.

Going to go look at more of your stuff now.

Me too! And yeah, I heard Dragonborn is taking place in Solstheim, but I wonder if you go into Morrowind's mainland to get there. The screenshots showed mushrooms and Telvanni/Redoran architecture, so I hope it's more like Morrowind proper again. ...Now if only it was coming out on PC sooner.

Haha, I think we agree on favorite regions. I always liked going to the Zainab and Ahemmusa Ashlander camps because they were in the Grazelands.
