Aurgh. I hated the lineart of this picture. I really had no motivation to finish it at all. Then I finished the flats and shaded the skin and decided that I could save the bad lineart with really nice shading! And I think I did! This is possibly the best skin I've ever done! And one of the best CGs I've ever done --not THE best, but definitely ONE of the best.
The hammer looks bad. But the ghosts look alright (props to ~
gracifer for telling me a technique a while back that I tried to use--it didn't quite work out as I had hoped...i.e., like the thing she used the technique on, but it looks fine anyway) and her SKIN AND HAIR! ^^

I think this is a pretty effective piece - it has an unsettling, creepy air yet also has a sense of realism. The choice of colors is great too - it makes it stand out.
to be a critical bastard, i think the shoulders could be less symmetrical, and i dunno if you wanted the hammer resting on her shoulders, but it's really not.
everything else about this one drives me insane. can i get a print of this??
