I took a portrait drawing class today. We ended the class by using soft pastels to make a colorful picture (as opposed to charcoal drawings). From this, I have learned you can use seemingly weird colors when shading and it will make things look unexpectedly nice. Ironically, I had been trying out this same sort of idea from observing =
joteivv's art. The combination of these two things has lead me to this successful picture.
I've come to like using OpenCanvas. I can blend colors easily, draw on the computer from scratch...and then watch what I did. Haha.
I love this picture. I really do. Warm colors make me happy tonight. As do warm fuzzies.
(Unfortunately, DA seems to have desaturated the colors a bit...it isn't too bad, though, so s'all good. ...Haha.)
