Name: Jikoba

Race: Rito

Age: 25

Height: 5'4”

Weight: 93 lbs

Occupation: Conman

Weapons: N/A

Special skills: Very good at making replicas of things, is a pretty damn good flier.

Magic: N/A

Items: Rucksack with crafting tools, supplies, money, food, and whatever else he might need, and an excessive amount of jewelry.

Brief Bio: Jikobak is, overall, a very nice man. He has his faults, of course, but never let it be said that he's not friendly and kind—for the most part. He smiles more often than he really should, he's happy to chat with strangers, and he's just the slightest bit naïve (more in terms of social cues than anything else). However, he's also rather greedy and can be desperate at times. He's so used to a certain kind of lifestyle that he will pretty happily create items that look far more expensive or exotic than they are just so that he can earn funds, and the less money he has at any given moment, the more likely he is to seem a little panicked and nervous.

He's not a very good liar when it comes down to it, but he's fortunate enough to be good at making items that don't get questioned when he tries to sell them. Should he be cornered and asked about the validity of his wares, he has a tendency to start laughing and looking around a lot—usually trying to figure out a way out of the situation. He's been run out of towns before, though he's often found putting on some sort of poor disguise so that he can go back to a town that didn't much like him. In the end, there's quite a lot he'll do for money.

That said, he's loathe to hurt anyone and he's too much of a pansy and a nice guy to straight up con people. He knows he could probably charm a lady into giving him money, but he just can't bring himself to do it. He is, in the end, a sweet man—he's just so attached to wealth that he has troubles keeping up with his morals.

Quirks: As much as he is aware he could charm a lady, because he knows that doing so could mean getting money out of her (and he doesn't actually want to rip anyone off in that fashion), he has a habit of falling to pieces when talking to women, especially if they seem at all amiable to him.

Jikoba doesn't really have a specific place to live. He usually holes up in the best inn he can afford when he arrives in a location. Because of this, he carries a lot of stuff with him, but he's been flying around with it for so long that he's strengthened his wings enough to support him.

He's convinced that the only way people will buy his products is if they think they're either extremely rare and foreign or if they're so expensive that they're worth paying a lot of money for. He doesn't seem to notice that there are plenty of artisans around who make a decent living making HONEST goods.

History: Jikoba was just an average Rito, really, living on Dragon Roost Island and working with mail delivery. He made little things in his spare time, but for the most part he lived a rather mundane life. One day, however, on a trip to deliver some mail to a region he was not familiar with, he was distracted by thoughts of a different sort of lifestyle and accidentally flew into a storm that knocked him so far off course that he woke up in Termina in the Great Bay.

Having never been to Termina and with no idea how to get back to his island, Jikoba panicked and holed himself up on the beach for a long time, terrified that he'd never get home and instead of people looking for him, they'd just be angry that he never came back. It never even occurred to him that there'd be other Ritos flying around the world that might stumble upon him—or give him directions back to Dragon Roost Island. No, instead he decided everything was a lost cause and he should just hide on this beach for the rest of his life. It wasn't until he became famished that he finally emerged from his hiding place and went to look for food.

He survived on fish and other local critters for a while before he managed to wander out of the Great Bay and toward Clock Town, where he found people selling small items and making decent money. Suddenly it dawned on him that he could put his crafting skills to good use here, maybe make some money and buy decent food. It wasn't long before he was coming to Clock Town with all kinds of goods that emulated the items available on the sea—and he, like the genius he considered himself, told the fine people of the town that they were imported goods rather than crafted items, and this made his wares far more popular. He actually became so wealthy that he could afford nice clothing and jewelry, delicious food, and fine lodgings.

Of course, it was shortly after this that his wares were discovered to be fakes and he was run out of town. He spent some time traveling from region to region, trying to convince people to buy his products, but he found himself being kicked out again and again, and with his money running low, he decided he should try to go elsewhere, find a new place where people wouldn't catch on to his scheme, so to speak. After a few days of flying, he wound up in Hyrule and began his work again.

He now spends his time traveling from town to town in Hyrule, selling his “imported goods” until people figure him out—sometimes with more success than others. He can usually be found in Castle Town, as it's so busy there that he doesn't get questioned very often—though he sometimes travels elsewhere so that he can be in a less populated market.

Dammit, another character. I SWEAR I'LL STOP AFTER THIS. After all, this means I have one antisocial character, one super nice character, and one completely insane character. That's a pretty good spread.

ANYWAY I LOVE RITOS OKAY.

Such a cute design. ouo I love the hair on this one.
I always did love this race, even though I never played this game much. I thought it was pretty neat how they worked.
