It's Cherenkov from Xensoaga! OMG, I'm so happy I came across this! There is seriously not enough love for this guy.
Stylistically, I think this is going in a very good direction for you. It's loose, but not unfinished, and yet still good-looking enough to be 'called' finished, but not extremely polished. I look forward to more like this if you're very satisfied with it!
Honestly, my art prof's comments about my sketches were really encouraging on this front, since he liked how...I guess emotive they were? And then we talked about Franz Hals in art history, and he made really lively portraits by using really loose brushwork, so I'm thinking this is something I really want to do. It's much more comfortable. ouo
Gonna try to do some speedpaintings tonight, too!
