The Church Bells Rang

...Hmm. A slightly different style of coloring.

And Lakai, whom I have not drawn in a while. ^^

So...I had this sketch. Which was...oh, 25% done being inked. And I decided that I was going to color it using a base color and layering colors on top of it (I saw a tutorial for it at a site and decided that it looked like a neat idea--I don't think I actually read the tutorial itself). Then I decided to just color it as a sketch. And here it is.

At first, it was pretty plain. There was no stained glass light streaming down, no rain, and no darkness in the top right corner. Then I did that stuff. X3

I don't like the rain much, and the stained glass angers me, but I like how everything looks together. I'd have to say I'm quite proud of this.

I colored this while listening to My Baby Shot Me Down, recorded by Nancy Sinatra. I was thinking about the song when I drew it, so that's why it says that on the back of her shirt. And I WANT some o' those checkered suspenders. Oh yes.
