JOSEPHINE'S ENDZONE AUDITION COMIC: [link]

Reference sheet! Handwritten due to extreme hatred of typing small boxes of information. The little circles of color, by the way, are the color swatches for her design. I tried to put them all next to the part of Josephine that they're coloring, but the more distant ones are labeled to avoid confusion. PLEASE ASK IF THERE ARE ANY QUESTIONS on either the picture or the info below!

PROFILE:

Josephine
(Former) Angel of Vengeance
Age: 2000 (-ish)
Height: 5'9"

Personality:
Josephine is the sort of angel with whom you probably wouldn't get along. She's not the lovely, angelic sort of seraphim most people expect. After all, she is (or rather was) the Angel of Vengeance.
She tends to think very highly of herself, particularly in terms of her appearance and skills. Thus, she is (extremely) easily flattered and truly demands attention and praise.
It is her opinion that she is the best Angel of Vengeance there has ever been, and the thought of being replaced is simply preposterous in her mind. She claims that she doesn't use her powers selfishly; she believes those she punishes deserve such treatment wholeheartedly. In reality, she's a mite power crazy ("a mite" here having the meaning of "quite") and can go into a bit of a frenzy when "doing her job".
On top of these habits, she has a bad case of paranoia. She tends to think that anyone and everyone who doesn't practically worship the ground she walks on has it in for her/is jealous/is a mortal enemy, etc. (Of course, not all of this paranoia is imagined; Josephine really does have some enemies, but she also made them herself--but then most of the people she claims are "out to get her" are thinking nothing of the sort.)

Background:
For 900 years, Josephine has been the official Angel of Vengeance. Granted, when she first started, she was truly excellent at the job. Years and years of compliments to this effect, however, have given her a big head about the whole thing. So, as mentioned before, she started to abuse her powers. The last century escalated this whole problem to a point where she was punishing people for really minor reasons just to garner adoration. Obviously this plan didn't work.
Immediately prior to the Endzone audition comic, Josephine recieved a pink scroll (...okay, a pink slip, I'm just trying to be clever here) officially terminating her duties as Angel of Vengeance. In fact, as she finds out through reliable means, she has already been replaced. Believing herself incapable of being fired, she naturally assumes this is the work of the archangels "who have always had it in for me", as she would put it (this assumption is totally untrue, by the by). Thus, she is extremely bitter about God, the archangels, and generally the hierarchy of Heaven.
Not featured in the Endzone audition comic is the beginning of Josephine's conversation with Big Bad. To put it briefly, Big Bad basically flatters Josephine into going to Everafter by insisting that she is the best Angel of Vengeance (despite the opinions of God and the archangels) and that she NEEDS to come to Everafter to do her job, despite being fired (that part IS in the comic). There you have it.

General Info:
Josephine's powers as Angel of Vengeance originally came from a pendant she recieved with the job (yes, it looks just the like the pendant pictured in this reference sheet). When she was fired, however, she had to give up this pendant (so the new Angel of Vengeance could use it).
To counter this problem (this problem being that she now has no powers with which to punish those in Everafter), Josephine goes through a "black market", as it were, to have a new, identical pendant made (this "black market" involving Hell and "Lucie", which is admittedly Josephine's annoying pet name for Lucifer--yes, she knows him, and yes, she gets along with him rather famously...and no, this is not a well-known fact in Heaven). At this point, she's probably not going to be welcome in Heaven ever again. At least she has friends in...really...low places?
